Biography

I passed my exams in 1993 and gained a B or Class 2 licence and I was issued the callsign G7RVP, when I moved to the Isle of Man in 1996 this became GD7RVP.
When the requirement for passing the morse exam ceased my license was upgraded to Class 1.
You will find me situated in the North West corner of the Isle of Man, for those who are not sure it is between England and Ireland.

I am a member of:-
Radio Society of Great Britain - RSGB
Isle of Man Amateur Radio Society - IOMARS
British Amateur Radio Teledata Group - BARTG No.9013
GQRP Club No.14270

Equipment

I currently operate a Kenwood TS590S Transceiver on H.F., feeding a Hustler 6BTV 6 band ground mounted antenna which is a very good solution for our small garden. You will also find me occasionally with a handheld on the local repeaters either on 2 metres or 70 cms.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
