Biography

I was first licensed in 1971 and operated 2m SSB until the HF bands became available.
Most current activity is 10M WSPR where I use a dedicated PIC TX with 5W out.
My interest cover the range from 10Ghz SSB to HF digital modes, depending on the state of the bands. The QTH is located west of the city of Sheffield at 200M asl with a clear path to the west, allowing VHF contacts into the west of England, Wales and Ireland.
When possible I build my own equipment and make contacts as a way of testing the designs.
