Biography

Licensed in May 1969 and active on 2 m and 70 cm as a fixed station until 1980

Family etc then ate up time so activity was 2 m and 70 cm mobile only until 2004 when fixed station operation again became possible.

Main interest is FT8 on all bands.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Main rigs are a TS2000E and an IC7300.
On HF I use a trapped inverted L fed at the far end fed by a SEM Z Match on the lower bands and an SG autotuner above 7 MHz.
On 4m a halo
On 6 M a 3-element Yagi up at about 6m, which seems to work well when the band is open.
On 2m and 70 cm a collinear, however the QTH is very poor for VHF and UHF so this is normally hooked up to a FT-8800 to access the local repeaters.

On receive a Winradio G31DDC, an Icom PCR1000, an AOR2002 (mainly used for airband), a JIL SX400 (with all downconverters, HF upconverter and antenna switch) an RTL dongle for general work and an RTL dongle for 1090 MHz Mode S

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
