Biography
Nothing Special here .. trusted Kenwood TS850S with MC-60 and MC-80 Base mic ..
I tried modern radios and I`m not keen on menu driven ..
I like to to operate\drive a radio with dials and switches in front of me .....Half size G5RV ..
I mostly enjoy low power Contacts, Achieved 10w over the long path to VK 57 each way on 20m ..
FTM100D for VHF\UHF .. with Diamond x510 co-liner
and yes I still operate CB ..Have some good friends on there, I have know many many years, and we have weekly catch ups
I have Also recently started enjoying the data world .. Especially low power WSPR
Radio plays second fiddle to my main Enjoyment Fishing ..Mainly on the local River Severn,
but under the current times, Radio has been a godsend
I started my radio days on CB in 1979, I hate the the uncessary rivarly, I would of never even considered Radio, had it not been for CB, and I still use it today

New icom 7300 (finally opted to check out the modern day Radio)
Thoughts so far .. the Kenwood for me, is still in a class of it`s own, and Its title of the rolls royce of radios still applies
although a scope is interesting , I`ve noticed things like sprogs running across the band
New home brew fan dipole .. Some wire\hose pipe\cable ties, and a 1:1 balun thats been sitting in the draw, with good reports so far
