Biography

Licenced in 1982 but fell away from radio around 1998/99 after getting married and having kids etc.

Interest rejuvenated in 2013 following a visit to a ham friend. Got all my stuff back out of the loft and here we are.

Enjoy playing on HF and trying different aerials but most of my operating is currently just on local VHF.

Equipment

HF: Trio TS-430S feeding a fan dipole arrangement in the loft.
VHF/UHF: Kenwood TM-V71 into a colinear on the side of the house.

Baofeng and Wouxun handhelds
Yaesu FT-290 that kind of works when it wants to.
Ex-PMR Tait T2000 that I bought on a whim to try 4m. Not had a lot of joy with it so far.
