Biography

75 times around the Sun, got most of my hair but not all my teeth. Retired aviation engineer (a/c braking systems). Main interest is QRP using the code (the only way God meant RF to be sent) QRV on most HF CW QRP working frequencies. Summertime enjoying working /P from our caravan using various wire antennas. Now whiling away the long days of retirement monitoring/nodding off on our local Coventry repeater GB3CV-R (Echolink enabled)

Keys currently in use: LIONEL J36 (semi auto bug) for sending "Baghdad Morse", a J38 and JUNKER DRP (Straight Keys) for sending readable Morse I hope. No machines of the Devil, electronic keyers :).

Nothing to do with radio but my sons project to build a replica of the 1922 steam tunneltug narrow boat "Hasty" (photo above) maybe of interest to steam and or narrow boat enthusiasts. Progress is shown on the web site www.tunneltug.org.uk search also for steam narrow boat Hasty on YouTube. Latest progress also on the Blog www.tthasty.blogspot.com
