Biography

Have moved around quite a bit as part of my career but im now retired and living in Skelton in Cleveland, Saltburn by the Sea
Worked most of my life in the NHS working as a Staff Nurse or within the Ambulance Service.

In Earlier life I lived on the Isle of Lewis

Antennas are:
Wire that goes on top of a 6 foot fence on 3 sides of the garden then down to 6 inches off the ground and back (Loop style)
Also have a Ciro Stealth loop in the garden.

For Rx only i have 2 SDRplay's one a RSP1A and the other a RSPDx
I also do aircraft tracking with a pi and a 1090Mhz

Main interest is FT8 but i do dabble on SSB.

NOTE: Changed my Callsign now (as of 2025) to G3LES
