Biography
Licensed in 1969 as G8CJY , mainly interested in VHF/UHF/SHF bands built most of my old kit in those days .
Member of North Liverpool radio club and contest group before moving south to Camberley in Surrey . Formed Hillbilly contest group , winning a number of trophies including VHF National Field Day .
Licensed as G4HWA in 1979 moved from Camberley to Horton near Northampton , UK.
Joined Parallel Lines Contest Group got very involved and operated the 23cm station , we won many VHF Field Day and VHF-SHF contests from our site in Dover and continue to use that site for various VHF and UHF contests.
Moved to present QTH in 2003 fitting 2m/70cm and 23 cm antennas in 2003.
Been using Windom for LF bands since 2014 , recently added Innovantenna XR6 6 band Yaagi. Onwards and Upwards as they say with the Icom 7610 transceiver.
