Biography

First licensed in 1977 as G8OSB, took morse test and became G4HGT. Soon got the DX bug, concentrating on VHF DX throughout the early 1980s. Member of the A1 (Derbyshire Hills) contest group G4ZAP for years, taking part in 3-4 contests every year.

Recently joined forces with the Colchester group G0VHF/P for VHFNFD

Mostly QRV 70, 144 and 432MHz from portable locations around Yorkshire for UKAC contests. Acquired 15m high trailer mast in 2019 and occasionally will put this up at home for QRP and weekend contests, MS or good conditions. Using FT8 and MSK144 when time permits
