Biography

SWL'ing with my old Yaesu FRG-7.

Spent most of my life living in Leyland, Lancashire.

Started my working life in the Textile industry doing Cotton Weaving.

During my working life i was a Cotton Velvet Weaver and Spinning.

Worked in the Hydraulic hose production and belting industry.

I spent many years working for local Goverment in my town of Leyland.

And i have a Counter Balance Fork Lift Truck driver for many years.

Even did part time spells of Taxi office radio controller.

Before retiring in the last few years on health grounds.

Now live in the City of Preston as of 2002.

Married to Pam callsign M9HQY.

My former call was G1PIE of 28/10/2025.

Passed the City & Guilds R.A.E. years ago now.

Band used mainly now is 40M for inter-G,

Life member and ex volunteer Ribble Steam Railway in Preston.
