Biography
Hi all, My name is Greg and i have been licensed since 1991 but have had an active interest in radio since 1977 be it the old cb radios or swl on an old lafyette receiver i was given.
I first went for my licence in 1984 because the cb had gone right down hill since being legalised in 81 but family and work commitments got in the way so was unable to complete the course so i continued on the cb sidebands and 934mhz until i had the time and confidence to start the R.A.E course again. So here i am with a full licence and as enthusiastic now as i was in 1977. I love to work the dx but also like a good rag chew, I enjoy all aspects of the hobby.
I am QRV from top band to 23cm and I have an aerial farm in my small back garden which takes some looking after.
At the time of posting this Bio I have worked about 170 dxcc entities possibly more as about 5 years of my logbook got damaged and i could not find the backup so now i keep a backup of the backup and back that up too. Anyway of the dxcc entities i have worked only 96 have confirmed and i am hoping more stations i have worked sign up to lotw or upload there logs to qrz so i can get them last 4 dxcc or even get my WAS count up a bit further, heres hoping anyway.
