Biography

I was first licensed in 1983 as G1CFY. In 1994 I took my morse test and gained my A licence as G0UON.

My radio interests are varied –
• HF (all bands)
• CW
• QRP
• WSPR
• VHF/UHF (mostly FM)
• Homebrew: QRP, antennas
• Raspberry Pi experimenting

I am just getting back in to CW but still find it challenging to get my speed up

Member of:
• RSGB
• G-QRP Club (No 8258)
• FISTS (No 19687)
• Essex CW Club (No 487)

The QRZCQ picture shows me in my old temporary shack – my tool shed.

Here’s a Pinterest Board where I am collecting images of most of the radio kit I have owned: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/jimrose99/my-ham-radios/

Non-radio interests include photography, aviation and motorcycling (I have a 20-year-old BMW R1100GS).
