Biography

Born in Glasgow 1939 first licenced in 1986, worked in engineering mostly Turning,
prefers the CW mode..............holds a USA licence AA8YH, and has worked as a VEC in the UK. In spare time likes to build and test all sorts of antenna mostly wire, with any available feedlines. Have worked many Scottish Islands along with GM3VLB, also with many different calls such as 3V8SS/GM0DHZ, SV5/GODHZ, VE7/G0DHZ
DL/G0DHZ, GM0DHZ, but never used my USA call in anger, though been twice to MI. where my big sis lives. Content to work the RSGB Club championships on 80m. Current antenna is a Doublet using a feedine not on the market, My last antenna was another doublet using D 10 Military wire for the whole antenna. My main rig is a FT 1000 MK5 MP, ES 2M RIG is IC 7000........... Hope you enjoyed the small bio 73 Alex
