Biography

Hi thanks for taking the time to look at this page.

My name is Keith Banks, and I have lived at this location for the past 50 years.
I was first licensed in 1972 with the call G8FWZ,which was a class B license for VHF and above.

I had my latest call G0DAY in 1985 which is an upgrade from a B license to a A license.

For the first few years of getting licensed, I was mainly on 2m FM and 70cm FM,
using modified ex - commercial gear. until I purchased a Belcom liner 2 SSB transceiver
used with a 70watt ex- commercial amp. This gave me a new insight to amateur radio.
In the first few years of using this setup with a square halo I managed some serious
DX while being mobile, working some 24 individual countries, but since then have not
added an awful lot of countries to this.

To be concluded

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Belcom Liner 2 SSB for 2m

Trio TS180 80m to 10m
