Hello to All
My name is Kev short for Kevin I was born in March 1957 in the fishing port of Grimsby on the Mid East Coast of the U.K.
I am married with two grown up children one boy and one girl both have now left home and set up there own homes also my wife is called Karin.
I start to listen as a SWL to the trawlers as they left home port and if I could while they were at sea and on there return to home port I was then about 6 or 7 there was a old boy friend of my sister he was called David Philpot (no longer with us) who showed me how to listen to Radio Hams around the world that got me hooked on Short wave listening David showed me how to get the info I needed to fill in the log and he helped me send out Qsl cards via post etc no pc in them days Lol. So that’s how I started the hobby now in my 60s I still sit and listen and send out cards via Eqsl or email a copy of my card direct unless I receive on in the post then I return my card via post.
I did have a few call signs over the years ila964 also ma3007swl gy1swl
but as of this year 2022 I am down to one call Sign only G-21325 I was given G-21324 but that was soon taken away as it was used by some body else hence the G-21325 as it now is. So If I hear you on air you may well get a Eqsl or a swl card from me I hope you will return as your card is my hobby.
Grimsby my home town was a large Fishing Port but no longer it mainly wind turbines and processing of fish etc very little if any fish gets landed.

Equipment

As for my Equipment I use
My c.b. radio is a crt SS 7900 with a Zetagi mb+4 Microphone

I use my pc mainly to listen Radio Andorra for the radio Hams I also listen on the 160 net and I sometimes listen to QO-100 sat on my pc.
I am also active on cb as 26RC116 so if you hear me try and make contact all cards will be answered also, I can be found on the cluster dx as 26RC116

I also have a Old Kenwood receiver I use it is a R-1000 on a discone antenna in the attack.
