Biography

Good morning all.

Ham radio since 1987 and morse operator since 2007.

Time passes, memories remain but fortunately my grandson is there to take over. He loves getting in the shack and doing a bit of radio with me. For him, it must certainly have a magical side... We both have a good laugh.

Today I only send in morse code and preferably in QRP. I have a particular affection for this mode of transmission.

Obviously I defend the use of old-fashioned morse code (decoding by ear).

Equipment

My transceiver is a LAB599 TX-500 which I love and which is an excellent QRP transceiver for CW.

I also have an excellent IC-705 and a XIEGU G-106 which I also often use in QRP.

My antenna is a modest inverted-L EFHW, fed by a 49:1 UNUN. It is supported by two 10M high spiderbeam masts.
