Bonjour à tous et bienvenue sur ma page QRZ.com,

Passionné par la radio depuis mon plus jeune âge, j’ai récemment obtenu ma licence d’opérateur radioamateur et mon indicatif F4NMM.

Ancien sous-officier de l’Armée de Terre, où j’ai travaillé dans le domaine des transmissions radio liées aux hélicoptères, je retrouve aujourd’hui avec beaucoup de plaisir cet univers des communications, cette fois dans le cadre du radioamateurisme.

J'ai obtenu il y a quelques moi ma licence HAREC et poursuis progressivement la mise en place de ma station. J’utilise actuellement un Yaesu FT-891 + FC-50 ainsi qu'un Yaesu FT-70 et je m’intéresse particulièrement aux bandes HF et VHF/UHF, au trafic en phonie, aux contacts DX, ainsi qu’aux modes numériques comme le DMR, EcoLink, C4FM que je découvre.

simulation de ma future antenne de toit Installé à Paris (la photo au dessus est prise depuis mon appartement avec la vue dégagée sur le nord et l'ouest de Paris), je dois composer avec les contraintes d’un environnement urbain, notamment pour l’installation des antennes (cf photo montage de ma future antenne HF verticale Diamond BB-7V de toit), ce qui fait aussi partie de l’apprentissage et du plaisir de cette activité. En attendant j'ai toute une collection d'antennes filaires type endfeld que je fixe sur mat telescopique Spiderbeam 12 m depuis ma fenêtre les voisins adorent mes "cannes à pêche" :)..

J’apprécie tout particulièrement l’esprit radioamateur : la curiosité technique, l’expérimentation, l’entraide entre opérateurs et le plaisir de contacter des stations en France comme à l’étranger.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my QRZ page,

I have been passionate about radio since I was very young, and I recently obtained my amateur radio licence and the callsign F4NMM.

I am a former military in the French Army, where I worked in the field of radio communications associated with helicopters. I am now very pleased to return to the world of radio communications, this time through amateur radio.

I am newly active on the air and am gradually building and developing my station. I currently use a Yaesu FT-891 + FC-50 and a Yaesu FT-70D. I am particularly interested in the HF and VHF bands, voice operation, DX contacts, and digital modes such as DMR, EchoLink and C4FM, which I am still discovering.

I am located in Paris. The top photograph on this page was taken from my apartment and shows the open view towards the north and west of Paris.

Living in an urban environment means dealing with a number of antenna restrictions and installation constraints. The photomontage shows my planned rooftop HF antenna installation, using a Diamond BB-7V vertical antenna. Finding practical solutions to these challenges is also part of the learning process and enjoyment of amateur radio. In the meantime, I have quite a collection of end-fed wire antennas, which I install on a telescopic 12m Spiderbeam mast from my window. My neighbours absolutely love my “fishing rods”..! :)

What I especially appreciate about amateur radio is its spirit of technical curiosity, experimentation, mutual assistance between operators, and the pleasure of contacting stations both in France and around the world.
