Biography

Hi dear OM.
"Born in 1955", my first contacts with the radio amateur in December 1972,
on "France Inter", when the radio club "O.R.T.F." launched the challenge on December 31 to contact every hour a country going to the year "73"!

SWL during my studies and my professional career in the fashion textile industry as a technician in industrial electronic maintenance, then responsible for technical services,
and in metallurgy as head of technical services and responsible for industrial risk management.

I obtain my call in 2018, once retired.
Member of the "Reseau des Emetteurs Francais" (REF), since 1973 (with some cuts) until now.

Living since the 1980s in Cambrai, an average commune of around 33,000 inhabitants, crossed by the Scheldt, located south of the Nord department,
with a turbulent historical past and retaining a rich monumental heritage, and famous for,

"La bêtise de Cambrai" (candies coated with mint);
"L'andouillette de Cambrai" (charcuterie);
"Boulette de Cambrai"; "Tome de Cambrai" (cheeses),

and having seen the birth, especially of

Louis Blériot, industrialist and pilot (first crossing of the English Channel);
René Dumont, ecologist;
Maurice Henry, poet (black humor)...

From now on I wish to lear CW.

73, Bernard.
