Biography

Retired electronic engineer (military radars and countermeasures).

I am living in Le Vésinet, a green suburb of Paris, a famous model of "Park-Town", designed from nil in a royal hunting forest in the middle of the 19th century. Le Vésinet shows 5 lakes, 4.5km of artificial rivers (artefacts), 5 historical monuments. See on Google-Earth following the link of my place and visit http://www.levesinet.net. An outstanding place of which I took care for 13 years as a deputy mayor prior to taking my "2nd retirement" in 2008.

Find me in JN18BV63VX/64VA or N 48.89167 E 2.14O78

Le Vésinet is a sister-city of Outremont (QC,Canada), Oakwood (nr Dayton OH, USA), Unterhaching (Germany), Worcester (UK), Hunter's Hill (Australia) and Villanueva de la Canada (Spain) : so many friends in the world !

I am mainly interested in HF DX, all bands, SSB, RTTY, BPSK31/63, QPSK63, JT65A , ROS, OLIVIA, HELLSCHREIBER, DRM and SSTV. Digital modes are 95% of

my recent activity.

Keen of fine propagation prediction (use Prolab-Pro V3 software) keeping long-lived an old know-how as I have been, "in a previous life", at the head of the Electromagnetism and antennas modelization department of Laboratoire Central de Télécommunications in Paris. I hardly confess that I have been working on some such "nasty" systems as HF and VHF radars . !

My newwebsite : http://f2lz.net/index.php. Please write some nice words in my guestbook. You will find there a selection of my logbooks since 1959 (DXCC registered cards) and my complete recent logbook since 2007 onwards which I usually update at least weekly except for received QSLs which are updated later. In case your QSO is not recorded, please advise me (typing mistake in the logger ?).
