Biography
Born in 1950.
Military service : 8e and 18e Régiments de Transmissions- Military certificate "Mécanicien câble hertzien",1972;
Amateur Radio license in 1985;
Like to program a bit in Bash,Tcl-Tk, Micropython and C++.
Linux user since 1999. Mint 22.2 Cinnamon Edition.
In 2024, I resumed my amateur radio activities with an old R5000 and, for transmission, a properly programmed Arduino+SI 5351 followed by a 300mW power amplifier on the 20m band. Now I use a HF G106 transceiver which delivers around 5W in FT8 ! This mode allows me to operate a radio without investing in expensive equipment. Besides long-distance contacts, my pleasure remains the design and tuning of my home-made antenna tuners and HF antennas.
