| Biography I started using radios in my youth. Then after studying electrical engineering at McGill University I joined an oil services company and worked initially in remote locations where we keep in touch thanks to HF radios and used data transmission from the wellsite (via satellite). Later as the head of field service worldwide for a security company I became involved in RF, RFID and M2M applications for theft detection and inventory tracking mainly to help the fight against retail theft crime. As part of getting my private pilot's license in the 80's I got my aircraft radio operator license and finally decided to become a Radio Amateur Ham in 2011.
