Biography

I'm Jose Parra, a Shortwave Listener (SWL). My shortwave listening activity consists of listening to amateur radio communications and shortwave stations without transmitting. It's a technical, relaxing, and very educational hobby, ideal for those who want to get started in amateur radio or simply enjoy the radio spectrum.

Being an SWL is a source of pride for me... I listen to amateur radio signals, international stations, and digital modes. I record my receptions in an organized manner. I can request QSL cards as confirmation of reception. I don't need a license, since I don't transmit.
