Biography

First licensed at the age of 14.

Avid DXer and 6m-enthusiast.

I operate CW only and like oldfashioned paper QSLs.

Proud holder of 6m-DXCC/CW, DXCC Challenge/CW, WAE-TOP/CW and many other awards.

Equipment

My station setup is modest: The workhorse is an FT-897D with an IC-725 (my first commercial radio, bought in 1990 from the saved-up returns of a student's job) as a backup. I never run more than 100 Watts. There is, however, a nice little antenna farm growing in the garden: A Spiderbeam for the WARC-bands (3ele for 30 and 17m, 4ele for 12m), a fullsize Vertical for 80m and another one for 40m, a standard beam for the traditional bands 20-15-10m, and a six element yagi for six.
