| Biography No biography data yet Worked DXCCs: Equipment Right now, I'm mostly active on 30 m HF using FT8. I'm using an Icom IC-7300 for HF, and a indoor dipole for 30 m. Originally, I cut it for 20 m, but in my room, it's resonant around 11 MHz. With a bit of tuning from the autotuner, it works on 10 MHz without any problems.
For a long time I was active only on VHF/UHF, since I didn't have enough room for an HF setup. I'm using Icom IC-2730E mobile radio together with Fensterquad 14303 antenna from Hummelmasten. The antenna is a 2 m and 70 cm quad loop mounted on a window.
I also have a Wouxun KG-UV8D hand-held radio that I'm mostly using to experiment a bit with APRS. It's connected to the computer sound using two audio cables and I'm using VOX to key it. I hope to switch to serial port keying soon, but I don't have enough time to make a PCB for it right now. |
