Biography

Hi everybody and thank you for visiting my profile on QRZCQ.com

My name is Thomas (Tom), I was born in 1974 and I`m located near by the City of Hanover in the northwest part of Germany.

My passion for radio communications began in the early '90s when I bought my first CB radio. In July 1999 I got my License for Amateur Radio, started with the newcomer Class 3 (today it's called Class E). Finally in January 2017 after more than 17 years I learned the necessary stuff and got my key to the whole world by upgrading to Class A. There is no main interest in a special topic. I like to communicate with voice as well as working with digimods. Building classic wire antennas I find just as exciting as experimenting with new technologies like HamNet.

Another passion of mine is what the suffix stands for: H arley D avidson … Oily hands, the smell of gasoline in the air, the wind around the nose and the rumble of the V-Twin ... that's not just a hobby, that's a lifestyle.

Life is too short for boredom. So let's rock, guys!

Hope to meet you on the air someday … Best 73, DL1HD
