Biography

I am 75 years old and I live in a small town called Starnberg on lake Starnberger See, about 25 kilometers south of Munich and 60 kilometers north of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Lake Starnberger See has a circumference of approximately 55 kilometers and a depth of 128 meters.

I have been licensed for 35 years, first under the call sign DC9CV and then, after learning Morse code, DK9CV.

Equipment

My station consists of a PMR-171 HF/VHF/UHF all-mode transceiver with approximately 18 W output power. For the 20m band, I use a 2-m vertical antenna.
For the 10m band, I have a homemade HB9CV mounted under the roof. Also a HB9CV, self-built, mounted on an Astra dish for the 6m band and an 11-element LPDA for the 2m and 70cm band.

Best regards from Germany
