Biography

Hello, and welcome to my QRZCQ page.

My name is Axel. I was born in 1964 and live in Germany.

I received my first amateur radio license at the end of April 2024. I came to the hobby later in life and enjoy learning about its many technical and practical aspects.

I am a member of the Deutscher Amateur-Radio-Club (DARC) in the local chapter (Ortsverband) H73.

My professional background is in software development. Amateur radio gives me a way to combine that experience with my interest in radio technology. I enjoy writing my own tools and experimenting with digital modes, station control, and microcontrollers.

For me, amateur radio is about making contacts, understanding the equipment, and trying things out. There is always something to learn, whether at the station, at the workbench, or in conversation with other operators.
