Radio Officer on reefer vessels from 1970 to 1974. Laeisz and Frigomaris shipping companies.

Studied electrical engineering and education at the Technical University of Darmstadt from 1977 to 1983.

Vocational school teacher for electronics, microcomputers and network technology from 1984 to 2014.

Now retired.
