Biography

5 years ago DO9CC and I moved to East Frisia. Here we rent a small house and can finally practice our common hobby, the amateur radio. Our new home is located between the villages of Leer and Emden, about 30 km from the North Sea coast.
Since 2018 Angelika (DO9CC) and I are members of the local association Leer with the DOK I07 in the DARC.
In addition to pleasant QSOs, I have a second passion: the homemade construction of radio equipment. My last projects are a Simple SDR-TRX and a 500 Watt solid state PA. I will report on completion.
Initial tests of the SDR at the R & S measuring station were promising. Will go in the next few days with the radio on air.
Likewise, I have been able to finish the low pass filter for the 500W Pa.
The next project is the power supply for this. This device should deliver 30 amps at stable 28 volts.
