Biography
HAM activity :
I took the licence in 1994 , mostly active in packet radio that days .
In 2007 I started with HF using a magnetic loop antenna inside my shack and sometimes portable using a simple wire .
QRV only in digital modes PSK and RTTY . Digi modes are great for QRP activity, even made a QSO to Antartica activated by DP1POL from Neumayer Station 3 using a simple wire and few watts .
In Februar 2011 I sold all equipment due to severe QRM on all bands in my area .
SWL activity :
Starting in March 2014 I got back to radio as SWL using different webbased - SDR in Europe .
From the SWARL I got my SWL callsign DL0030SWL ; now taking part in ham life as SWL
by sending SWL reports via eQSL.cc as well as by joining the EPC and the free award programmes .( EPC = European PSK Club ) .
Great thanks to all providing the possibilities of web-based SDR !
CHAT :
I can also be found at HamSphere for a chat :
HamSphere operation does not need a ham radio licence . It is open for all people being interested in radio communication , it offers voice communication , exchange of QSL cards within the HamSphere system , awards , cluster for band activity, integrated logbook programme , QSL card editor and other features . Communication takes place using a microphone , it is not a text chat programme .
You may use CW , SSTV or other digital modes as well .
