Biography

DL-SWL- Station - DARC - DOK O04 - license since April 1980 - hospital administration employee

I like to listen in digital modes, like to take part in contests. It is also very interesting to be on the road in WEBSDR and KiwiSDR. There is a lot to hear on long, medium and short wave.

My Amateur Radio Callsign : DL4DAE

Born in 1963 in Hattingen / NRW / Ruhr district. Already as a child, I sat at the tube radio at home and enthusiastically shot over the long, medium and short wave. Then I came to the amateur radio and shortwave listeners via the CB radio. I have been licensed since April 1980 with the call sign DL4DAE and with the SWL call sign DE4DAE. I like being active in SSTV, PSK, FT8, RTTY and digital radio, also WEBSDR is very interesting to hear. I am an administrative employee at the Katholisches Klinikum Bochum (University Hospital) in the area of reception and switchboard for almost 30 years. The photo shows me with my tomcat Charly, who is listening to the strange sounds from the radio as an SWL tomcat.
