Biography

Thanks for looking me up.

New QTH........... Ostfriesland, Locator JO33SG

My name is David Harris, I am very proud American Army veteran with a German amateur call sign.  Born and raise up in Florida, but also spent time in New York as a child.

I have been living here in Germany since 1986. I was in the Army stationed in Babenhausen "Gridsmashers", which is approximately 10 minutes from where I presently stay. Once my military career was over in 1992, I decided to stay in Germany, "European Out". And has been here since then.

I passed the Ham Radio exam back in 2004 in Eschborn, Germany. The test was completely in the German language.

From Aug 1998 until March 2015 I lived in Gross Umstadt, Germany (Locator JN49LV) which is approximately 25km south of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In a small town on the border between Hessen and Bayern. This small town is known to be called the “Wine Island (Weininsel)” from Odenwald, because of the yearly Wine Festival held here in September every year.

In March 2015, I moved with the family to Reinheim, with the new Locator JN49JU.

Presently I am very active in Contesting, but still like to do a lot of Ragchewing, when time permits.

Ragchewing contacts will be sent automatic via EQSL.
Contest Qso are automatic uploaded via EQSL.cc. If I receive a papier QSL card I will send one in return.

73's and thanks for looking me up.
