Biography
Hello to all amateur radio enthusiasts,
warm greetings from northern Germany, specifically the Baltic Sea coast.
I am a fan of digital transmission technology and enjoy using FT8 and WSJT with GridTracker. I am also an avid tinkerer, focusing primarily on the Raspberry Pi, Radioberry 2.0, and SDR. All of this takes place on shortwave, mainly the 20m and 40m bands.
Here is some technical informatin about my self made "shag". I wrote some useful Assembly Instructions and software - setups (which could be very useful ;-) Just drop a message and i will send it by E-mail.
it starts with a raspberry pi 4B and a radioberry 2.0
... ends with raspberry 4B, Radioberry 2.0, PA5W, 40W amplifier up to 30 MHz, LPF (i know... the housing is still missing.. calm down..)

My first one. Only 45cm diameter, works 40m and 20m and 10m. But quite instable. Nice experience...
Much more better model with 80cm diameter for 20m band. The capacitor i replaced later with a thrombone type (which is much more stable against high voltage). The outer loop is out of aluminum composite pipe 16mm diameter.
With this model i did many QSOs in FT8 (i.e. USA, Kazachstan and more...see logbook)
This is a model, which works fine in 40m Band. 100 cm high, 75 cm wide, also aluminium composite pipe.
Here the capacitor was also later replaced by a thrombone type.
7,074 MHz at the point... It hardly gets any better than this.
This is the very simple, cheap and stable thrombone type capacitor. I love it, it works so fine...
