Biography
I'm Daniel, born in Freiberg in 1977. Today, I live in the district of Brand-Erbisdorf, in the Central Saxony district. My home is located 485 meters above sea level in the Eastern Ore Mountains of Saxony, about 42 km from Dresden and 40 km from Chemnitz – a region that not only fascinates me with its landscape, but also inspires my passion for amateur radio.
Brand-Erbisdorf is located in the Mittelsachsen district, right on the outskirts of the famous silver town of Freiberg. Since the 13th century, everything here has revolved around the gleaming precious metal: At times, this mining district accounted for over one-fifth of Saxony’s total silver production! The “Himmelsfürst” mine was even considered the richest silver mine in the country. Today, the town is a proud part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří Mining Region.” Testaments to this glorious era include the museum in the “Einigkeit” Huthaus, the Bartholomäusschacht shaft, and the impressive mining complex at the “Zugspitze” (Alte Mordgrube). In addition to this rich history, the region today boasts a strong economy and relaxing natural surroundings throughout the Erzgebirge Mining Region

I am really looking forward to receiving real QSL-Card / postcards, which are unfortunately becoming increasingly rare. I always compare them to vinyl records :-) they have a special charm. If you can, please send me a confirmation card. thank you!
