Hello,

My name is Wolf and since 25.07.2017 I´m the owner of a "Certificado de Amador Nacional", the license for ham radio operators living in Portugal.

I am on the island of Santa Maria - a small island at the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean leading to Portugal belongs.

Santa Maria was the first island in the Azores to be settled in 1439. It is approximately 1,500 km from mainland Portugal with an area of ​​97 sq km and has approximately 5780 inhabitants. It is 9.5 km from the northernmost to the southernmost point and from the easternmost to the westernmost point 17 km. The coastline is 46 km and the highest point is the Pico Alto with 587 m.

Since end of June 2024 I live here on SMA. Just statet the process to build a house on my property. I´m running a APRS iGate here, listen on 144.800 MHz (not activ yet) and a WX-Station. You can see the current WX here on this page (aprs.fi):
