Biography

I'm a sound recording and audio post-production technician working in the field of audio.
My work is focused on audio recording, conservation and mastering at Qualia Audio Lab.
The lab is also home for the radio shack, sharing the same audio path and electronics workbench.

I mostly enjoy hunting DX stations and portable operation. You'll most likely find me activating SOTA, WWFF or HEMA,
in which I'm currently CT area manager for. Find more about this great programme here.

I will gladly accept and return paper QSL cards via bureau or postal mail. No IRC needed.

Equipment

HF main rig is an Icom IC-751A. It has been upgraded with Piexx CAT control board, modified for line level audio IN/OUT through an RME Fireface 802 which is the core of the lab and provides further DSP. Microphone is an Audio Technica ATM63HE.

HF + V/UHF backup and portable rigs are an Icom IC-706MKIIG (upgraded with a high stability OCXO + DSP board) and a Xiegu G90.

HF + V/HUF monitoring: GPS referenced RSPduo w/ SDRuno. This system is used as panadapter for the 751A, ionosphere doppler measurements, meteor monitoring, etc.
Radiosonde monitoring: Raspberry Pi4 w/ 2 RTL-SDR and LNA + 403MHz bandpass filtered split feedline.
