Biography

Thank you for visiting my page
I was born in Monte Estoril in 1963.
I started in radio communications in 1980 in the 11 meter (CB) band with a GE 3-5804 radio only with AM, at the time the propagation was very good, then I acquired a radio with SSB GE 5825B, with some changes I could talk about the "high channels" above 27405 Mhz, then you can do a lot of dx, but I wanted to go further the power of the radio was little and one day the ROE destroyed the device.
together with my brother we decided to acquire a Sommerkamp TS-788 DXCC radio, then it already had more power, it already reached further, we built a directional of 5 elements type yagi was to do DX, with several countries that now cease to exist and others were divided.
In 1996 I stopped doing radio due to the space in QTH children began to be born and I was "run".
At the time of completing my mandatory military service, I was lucky enough to join a broadcast platoon as a radio assembler and transmission operator because I had the facility to know the Q code by heart.
But with the appearance of social networks, some of the radio colleagues began to post qsl of contacts and as I still had no equipment or antennas, I opted for the virtual amateur radio program, at the time I started with Hamsphere 3 then 4 where you can find old friends from the 80s and 90s I did almost all the countries in the world, Of course, it wasn't the same as the real thing, but it had many similarities.
When they changed to a new version of Hamsphere 5 the thing lost its fun, so I thought about buying equipment and antennas, the guys had already grown up and already had a place to set up the station.
Everything was different, there was already online logging, exchange of online Eqsl and Qsl by mail.
I searched the internet for a club that would give me support, I found Romeo Charlie, I signed up and they gave me the number 31RC688, this around March 2021, first contact with Brazil 3DA105.
In recent years many DX in the 11 meters at the moment 198DXCC, thanks to colleagues who have done some activations around the world I have had the possibility to talk to all continents.
I had the possibility and I was very encouraged to get the amateur radio license, but I thought it was a very difficult thing to obtain, which is not the case and thanks to a colleague who has now also obtained the license, here I am, hoping for many years in radiocommunications.
