Biography

I was born in Santiago 74 years ago. I got my first amateur license in 1969 as CE3PD. For many years I operated aboard on other stations like CE3QW, CE1LN, and CE9AA in Antarctica for 18 months. In 1986 with a team of great friends I command the first Chilean DXpedition to the Antarctic Continent who runs 10 days in Deception Island ( Lat. 63.01 S.- Long. 60.38 W). Most of all were members of the recently founded Radioclub Punta Arenas (CE8RPA) where I was its first President from 1986 to 1988.
During my residence in Punta Arenas, my call was CE8PD, operating only in CW.
After a long period of silence, I am active again from Santiago, our Capital City as CE3PD.

Equipment

My rigs are a Yaesu FT-857D, a Kenwood TS-430S transceivers an a FLDX 2000 Yaesu Linear Amplifier. In adition a Clansman UK/RT321 transceiver, rescued from the war of The Falklands or Malvinas, an MFJ Electronic Keyer Paddle and a HSR-6BTV Hustler Multiband Antenna (mounted 30 meters high on the roof of the building).

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
