| Biography I was born in Santiago 74 years ago. I got my first amateur license in 1969 as CE3PD. For many years I operated aboard on other stations like CE3QW, CE1LN, and CE9AA in Antarctica for 18 months. In 1986 with a team of great friends I command the first Chilean DXpedition to the Antarctic Continent who runs 10 days in Deception Island ( Lat. 63.01 S.- Long. 60.38 W). Most of all were members of the recently founded Radioclub Punta Arenas (CE8RPA) where I was its first President from 1986 to 1988. Equipment My rigs are a Yaesu FT-857D, a Kenwood TS-430S transceivers an a FLDX 2000 Yaesu Linear Amplifier. In adition a Clansman UK/RT321 transceiver, rescued from the war of The Falklands or Malvinas, an MFJ Electronic Keyer Paddle and a HSR-6BTV Hustler Multiband Antenna (mounted 30 meters high on the roof of the building). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
