Biography

My interest with electricity and electronics started at the age of 8. My grandfather taught me basic electricity (mid 50's). After high school Southport HS, I attended 2 years of electronics school at Howard W. Sam's Technicial Institute in Indianapolis, IN. Upon graduation I secured a job with AT&T Long Lines as a technician, Central Region Safety Supervisor, HQ Corp. Security, retiring after 33 years. US Navy 1966 - 1972

I finely got around to getting my HAM ticket in 2003 as a Tech (KC9DJM). In 2005 I upgraded to General and changed my call to W9PEP. On March 31,2007 I upgraded to Extra at the AES Superfest in Milwaukee. Changed call sign to AE9P April 2007.

I enjoy working HF 80/75-40-20-17. I'm a member of the ARRL. Currently active on the GERATOL NET G#2516 D#616

My home station consists of a Yaesu FTDX-10, backup FT847. Both radios are remote controlled with a RigPi. Antennas: Force12 C3SS, ZS6BKW dipole, Gap Titan DX 80-6.

My mobile FT-857D, Antenna ATAS120 40-6.

Portable ops: Xiegu G-106, JPC-12 vertical, 40-10 EFHW.

73's for now, hope to meet you on the HF bands.

Paul
