| Biography I first got licensed back in 1994 as a Technician (KC7DXK). At some point kids and cell phones came about and Ham Radio went on the back burner. Recently the interest came back and I upgraded in 2017 to a General license and wanted a special call. W7AMC came about, the AMC came from my kids, and it’s the first initial of each of their names so they are always with me. Worked DXCCs: Equipment I have recently been working on the shack and other equipment but have settled on ICOM. Decided on a Icom IC-2730A in both my SUV and in the house as a base and a Daiwa CN-501V cross needle meter. With all the new IRLP, Echolink and digital DMR, Fusion and D-Star has been rather confusing but I did pick up a TYT MD-2017 DMR radio to play with. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
