Biography

I got my first two tickets in 2006, completing the Tech and General test. A year later upgraded to extra. I started with an HTX 202 with Mag mount antenna. I would use a cookie sheet as a ground plane to work from home. Later My father in law also gave me a IC 2100 which I normally use for mobile work. I recently had to replace (2011)the mic, otherwise it is a solid radio. After my upgrade, I also reenlisted in the Michigan Army National Guard. Receiving a bonus, I purchased my IC 7000. I love this radio. I it is very likely if you are reading this, that was the radio I was on. I did have the AB5N mod done on the mic, and I am very pleased with it.

I am a husband of one wife and two kids. My daughter does not live with me, however she does like the get on the radio. Christmas (2011) we were able to get her to talk to 14 states, and three other countries! She was really excited and like the QSL cards sent to her home. She even got England and Ireland to write back to her!

If you still reading and not bored, you can check out my face book page. just look up "david earl peck jr", and that should get you there. There is also a line on qrz.com

Also if you would like to send a card to a bureau, I am a member of the OMISS.net. It is a great net if you are looking to WAS and was able to do it quickly. Also there are numerous certifcates you can get as well.
