Biography

Thanks for visiting my qrzcq page. As of 2018 I am 49 years old. My nickname is Edd.

In 1992 while, living in Lakeland, Florida, I received my tech+ license with the call of KD4NUU. I upgraded to General and changed my call to W4EDY. A short time later I upgraded to Extra.

My dad passed away in 2015. He was a ham for nearly 50 years. I applied to receive his call and now use it. The last two letters of my callsign are mine and his initials.

I work mostly PSK31, jt65, and jt9. Occasionally 2 meters FM. I hope to start checking into nets and trying different modes.

Equipment

The Radio is an FT-920, the interface is a Signalink USB, the computer is a PC using windows 10, the software is HRD & wsjt-x.
The antenna is a hustler 6BTV.
