Biography

Hi all I'm Martin, an Intermediate licence qualified operator (Nov 2012),living in Scotland.

Passed my foundation licence in Dec 2011 and was/am using the call sign MM6KAU, but felt i needed a wee bit more power than 10w. I've had previous experience of long range HFcomms.

The rigs I'm currently using are YAESU FT-817ND,WOUXUN KG-UVD1P and a Clansman PRC-320.With various combinations of antennas from end fed wire, inverted v, dipole , full g5rv, 6m pro-whip vertical or 2m vertical when mobile.

Most of the qso i make are portable, as my home qth has a high noise level (s7-s9), but im working on an external antenna which should reduce it, i guess this is the joys of living in a block of flats.

I am a member at a local club in Dundee also the RSGB, RSARS, GQRP club no 13988, British Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society (barls) 584 and also WAB book no 19828

RSARS NO 4158 Royal Signals Amateur Radio Society

I can normally be found doing an activation of sorts, roc bunkers, cashota, wab squares, airfields and lighthouses.

i willbe activating the north carr lightship as part of the illw

I like working mobile or portable, wonder where they get the power from wink

Hope to get some QSO's soon. If you would like to know more get on the set and give me a shout.

sorry for those who haven't recieved qsl cards yet but i am working my way through the list so you should get it soon hopefully.

SWL reports welcome.

73's to you for now
