Biography

Hi my name is Paul and I became interested in becoming a Radio Amateur in 1999 and I sat my City and Guilds Novice exam in June 2000 and passed, I then went on to be a lead instructor teaching the M3 Foundation course to all ages from 8 year old’s to 58 year old’s I also sat the M3 Morse assessment and got My M3 call sign (M3EEE) this was a lot of fun and great for me to pass on some of my knowledge to them to get them through their exam.

In about 2004 I stopped Transmitting as my health deteriorated I had to give up driving so I could not get to go up the hills to do any DXing and work portable any more, so I left the hobby behind me and did other things, I became interested in photography and went to a lot of Air Shows over the coming years with friends and I used to listen to the air traffic at the shows with my FT-60 and now there are less shows about I had to make a decision on what to do next. Well I can't get out a lot so it had to be a hobby that I could do at home so I thought I would take to the mike again.

So now I am back on the air I have joined the Worksop Amateur Radio Society (G3RCW) That I have found very warm and welcoming to any amateur that turns up
