Biography

VK4WIS is the call sign for the Sunshine Coast Amateur Radio Club located at Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.
The club meets on the first Tuesday night of the month and every Wednesday from 09:00 AM until 14:00 is for social gathering.

The Club station is operational on HF/6m/2m/70cm & 23cm as well as having several local repeaters and a 6m beacon.
Our club has been on the Coast since 1978 when it reformed following a closure of 2 years and in those days we met at the Bli Bli community hall. In early 21st century we finally made the move to our present location which is a decommissioned Toll building adjacent to the Sunshine Coast Motorway. We have grown from strength to strength since and enjoy a broad range of activities within the club house.
