Biography

G'day Folks,

Welcome to the land down under and thanks for dropping by.

Am based out of Melbourne, Australia and received my ticket (Foundation License) in Oct 2020, so relatively new to the world of Amateur Radio. I've upgraded to the Standard License in June 2021.

Melbourne is the capital and most-populous city of the Australian state of Victoria, and the second-most populous city in both Australia and Oceania. Its name generally refers to a 9,993 km2 (3,858 sq mi) metropolitan area known as Greater Melbourne, comprising an urban agglomeration of 31 local municipalities, although the name is also used specifically for the local municipality of City of Melbourne based around its central business area.

Am privileged to be part of a hobby/community that shares, gives, helps each other and encourages ongoing learning. It's been great to have support from my local radio club (EMRDC, https://www.emdrc.com.au/) as well. Please feel free to drop me a note, always keen to speak with other Amateurs from around the world.

During the week i work for a large consulting company delivering large complex systems for clients across the country. You can read more about what i do at LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/trevorwarren/.

I also happen to run the Melbourne Raspberry Pi Hackers Group where we dabble with electronics, robotics, high altitude weather balloons, arduino, raspberry pi, ESP32's, IoT, etc. We meet once a month in person at the Makerspace located within the Docklands library. You can check out the group here - https://melbourne-rpi.com.au/.

In addition i run a kids Code Club called Coderdojo Altona North. The codeclub is run along with my team of volunteers and serves the local community here in Altona North. We meet every Sat at the local Altona North community library. You can read up more about the work we do at - http://altonanorthdojo.com.au/.

73 & Cheers
Trevor
