Biography

Welcome to my QRZCQ.com page.
My father was Melvin Gerald Mabry. W4MAI ( Whiskey Four Mike Alpha India ).
He was also my mentor for which I'll always be grateful.
Dad lived in Fairlawn, Virginia and he was a full professor at New River Community College in Dublin, Virginia. When he retired from teaching, he was made Professor Emeritus.
Dad became a silent key in 2006. The photo is of my sister, Mary, and me.

QRP LABS QCX, QDX, QMX-HIGH, QMX-LOW, QMX-PLUS, Yaesu FT-450D, all to a 40 meters long end-fed wire in the New River Valley of Virginia, EXCEPT, when at N4QA/4 QTH in Oak Island, North Carolina, where an N7DDC ATU QRP-40 and Dipole are used.
