Biography

I'm a retired Chief Laboratory Technician.
Hobbies are Amateur Radio (obviously!), messing about with electronics and Arduinos, Photography, Astronomy and Astronomical Imaging although not so much nowadays.
I'm a bit mike shy so I generally use FT4 and FT8, occasionally JT65 but there aren't many stations using it. Trying out JS8Call but not having much luck with it.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Kenwood TS-2000, Kenwood D-700 mobile rig, RSPdx sdr receiver.

20M Inverted V dipole, X200 colinear for 2M/70cm, Home made 1090 MHz groundplane for ADSB.

Shack PC - ASUS B450 with 1TB M2 SSD system drive, 2 x 1TB SSDs and 1 x 4TB spinning drive 16GB Memory.

Bits and Pieces - NanoVNA-F V2, NanoVNA-H, TinySA, MFJ 269c, various Chinese VHF and UHF signal generators, power meters, mixers, frequency meters, power supplies and other toys too numerous to mention.
Not enough multimeters (only six!)plus all the other tools that you need in this hobby.
No decent oscilloscope just yet but waiting for Christmas.
