Biography

Started out with a cheap SDR dongle for ADS-B, just to see what was flying overhead. That curiosity spread - got interested in Meshtastic and off-grid mesh networking, picked up an RTL-SDR v4, and started listening to HF through 12m of random wire strung along the balcony.

What really hooked me was hearing HF from Palanga - remarkably quiet, none of the city noise floor, and evenings full of hams working the world. Listening wasn't enough anymore, so I sat the exam and got LY0AM in September 2026.

Now working on making actual contacts: locally on 2m, and on HF via SSB and FT8. POTA is on my radar too, though the region doesn't have many activators or hunters yet, which makes park-to-park contacts trickier than it sounds. Looking forward to proper Field Day-style trips - packing up the station and heading out to parks and forests for some portable operating.
