Biography

Good day from Colorado!

I became interested in radio in the 1970s with the popularity of CB radio in the US. In the 1980s I joined the US Navy as an Electronics Technician. Finally, in the 1990s I got my US Technician license, and upgraded to Extra in the 2000s.

I mainly operate using the digital modes at home - RTTY, PSK, Olivia, JS8 etc. - and occasionally use FT8 to see how my station is functioning. Sometimes I will do POTA hunting with SSB or CW.

I hope to see you on the bands!

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Home station is a Kenwood TS-570DG with a 40-30-20 fan dipole or an EF random wire on the other bands.

Portable station is a Xiegu G90 with 40m and 20m hamsticks (mounted on the car) or quarter wave vertical wires and fiberglass poles. Colorado State Parks does not like wires in the trees, so I have to be self-supporting.
